Choreography is the art you've felt a thousand times without ever seeing its author. It's in the films that move you, the music videos you replay, the commercials you quote, the television moments that become culture. Behind every one of those is a choreographer; a storyteller working in the language of the human body. For too long, they've been the most influential artists no one could name.
The World Choreography Awards exists to honor them. Each year, we bring the global dance community together to celebrate the pioneers who built this art form, the legends who elevated it, and the creators and storytellers redefining it right now. Across film, television, music videos, commercials, and digital media, we recognize the choreographers whose work lives in the world's memory; and we say their names out loud.
We do this because recognition matters. Because the people who give movement its meaning deserve a stage of their own. Because choreography is not the background to the story; it is the story. Founded and produced by industry veterans who have spent their lives inside this craft, the WCA was built by the dance community, for the dance community; a place where creativity, diversity, innovation, and artistic excellence are met with the honor they've always deserved.
